Montanaro
Montanaro is one of the most ancient distilleries of the Langhe, born thanks to the genial intuition of Francesco Trussoni, master of stills, which began in Gallo d’Alba to create the first monovitigno grappa using pomace from Nebbiolo da Barolo.
In 1922, Mario Montanaro and his wife Angela Trussoni, together with their son Giuseppe, perfected the produict thanks to the first steam still.
Today Montanaro, recognised as one of the most artisanal and high quality distilleries of the Langhe, it produces not only grappa but also liqueur products, aromatised wines and vermouth.
