Baillieu vineyard is located in the cool climate region of Mornington Peninsula.

Hand harvested and estate grown, the rich loamy soil combined with precise viticulture and experienced winemaking yields wines of exceptional quality and great character.

Drawn by local artist Julie Johnson, the label is in memory of Matilda (Tildy) the much loved family dog of 17 years

Tasting note

Colour: Deep dark plum
Bouquet: Aromas of dark stewed plums
Palate: The bold palate has remarkable cherry & liquorice overtones. The mid palate is full of spice and cherries, opening up to a smooth and earthy finish.

Maturation:The fruit was destemmed and commenced fermentation naturally after four days’ cool maceration. A further two weeks was spent on skins prior to pressing to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Racked once in Spring and bottled in December 2019
